Are you looking for a fun and safe sport that will get your kiddo outside and keep them interested and challenged the whole day?

Do you want them to learn a hobby that they can continue their entire lives?

Are you looking for an activity they can take up with the whole family?

What about one that has a legacy longer than recorded history…?

Archery is a fun and dynamic sport that has something for everyone and sure to be a hit with your kid from the first shot! Our summer camp follows the Explore Archery™ curriculum developed by USA Archery, the Olympic body for archery in America. Each session covers important topics like safety, equipment knowledge, shooting form, shot execution, and scoring.In addition, our camp includes novel programming that you won’t find anywhere else in the country such as:

• lessons on the history of archery – globally and in the Missouri region specifically,
• hands-on activities such as creating primitive arrows,
• exploring the physics of archery
• and much more!

What they learn

Each day teaches your youth to be kinesthetically self-aware, manage their performance under pressure, and exercise mental resilience from shot to shot. Our camps teach and reinforce life skills that our students can transfer to other areas of their lives:

• scoring and math,
• team building,
• problem solving,
• the importance of positive “self talk”,
• decision making,
• critical thinking, and
• examining and predicting.

Our week ends with a mini-tournament and awards ceremony that family can attend. Its a great way to celebrate the skills they’ve gained and do a little showing off. Bullseyes will be plentiful!

What’s included

Each camp attendee receives a camp t-shirt, certificate of achievement and USA Archery-specific awards for completing each of the 5 key achievements during the week, in addition to any special awards given over the course of the camp.

We supply all the archery equipment needed. Campers can bring their own equipment to use as long as it passes a safety inspection from our staff (see below¹ for more information).

Logistics

Each camp is a weeklong from Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 3 PM. Campers can be dropped off 30 mins before and must be picked up by 3:30 PM.

***NEW*** After hours care will be available until 5:30 PM for an additional fee. Select the appropriate session with “+ after hours care”.

Campers are expected to bring:

• a water bottle,
• sunscreen and a hat,
• lunch, and
• medications, if any.

Personal Archery equipment: ArcherySTL is not be liable for injury or damages due to any failure of personal archery equipment during the course of the event, regardless of the result of any inspection by our staff. Equipment inspections are given as a courtesy and a first-pass for staff to identify obvious and egregious defects. Archers are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of their equipment and gear. If you are concerned with the state of your equipment, we offer equipment tuning and servicing outside of camp hours that can better assess the needs of your kit. ↩︎
