Archery Classes Spring/Summer 2026

It got COLD this winter and finding ways to practice has been a challenge. Personally, I like to go to STL Bowhunter’s in St. Charles during the day because I can usually get the place to myself and really focus. But now that the weather’s warming back up, we’re gearing up for some big things for the future – archery classes and camps!

Mounted Archery coming back

Our mounted archery clinics were a monumental success! We held three clinics last year in partnership with Just Jump It Horseback Arts and their AMAZING horses!

This year we’re looking for more partnerships to expand these classes beyond beginner and offer them more often! We’re looking for a host venue that’s interested in being a hub to grow the sport in our region. Ideally, we want:

  • a location/arena to host competitions and practices locally,
  • suitable horses (proper temperament, size, etc.) at said location that are available for supervised use,
  • passionate riders/archers to help with organizing a club.

We’re actively looking for leads, so contact us if you know somewhere that might be a good fit!

Team Dues Are More Affordable

We’ve seen incredible growth with our archery teams this year! The adult team size tripled, we had 8 archers compete in the Missouri Archery Association‘s Indoor Tournament, and 4 archers compete in the Alliance of Missouri Archers Indoor Tournament (2 brought home the gold!). It’s an exciting time for us and the growth we’ve seen in some of these archers is amazing.

I had a chance to interview one of our top archers, Rob Thompson, about his tournament preparation and athlete mentality recently and it was extremely insightful! Rob comes from a background in competitive shooting and he had some good pointers for anyone looking to take the plunge into competition. You can check out the interview here.

With this growth, we’re able to make team dues cheaper for everyone and now is the best time to join! Come out to a practice and see what the teams are like, check out the immaculate coaching vibes, and see if archery is your next adventure!

More Classes

The demand for our “Explore Archery” classes has ballooned this winter – maybe from the cold, maybe from word-of-mouth but regardless, we are here for it! We’re offering more adult and youth archery classes throughout the spring so take a look at our Events page. We’re also announcing new classes…

New Classes

You asked for it and we listened! We have rolled out our Archery 2 curriculum – this is an intermediate class that perfect for graduates of our Explore Archery class or anyone with some experience in archery. The class covers topics like:

We’re working on the Archery 3 curriculum which should be coming fall of this year so keep an eye out that announcement in August.

If you’re looking for more ways to use your bow, or even find a use for an old one, the Introduction to Bowfishing class is a great way to get out this summer and snag a big one! This class, developed by Bowhunters United, is packed full of expert advice and techniques that will get you out there enjoying this hobby safely!

To welcome this new class offering, we are rolling out all new bowfishing gear from makers AMS, Cajun Bowfishing, and Fin-Finder so you don’t have to worry about what gear to buy or if it will be reliable when you need it the most!

Additionally, we’re expanding our catalog throughout the spring with more bows, arrows, and gear that you want! Keep an eye out for special deals as we roll out more products for you and your family to enjoy!

Summer Camps

We’re gearing up for another incredible summer! We’re expanding our summer camp from a half-day to a full day ~~AND~~ offering three different weeks instead of just one – June 8th, June 15th, and June 22nd.

The camp goes from 9 AM – 3:30 PM with optional “after-hours” programming for busy families. Each week ends with a mini-tournament where archers will get to experience the thrill of competition and families can cheer them on to victory!
